Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Dimensional Horse in Horseshoe Pin. A exceptional larger horseshoe brooch with an applied detailed horse head. Measures 1-1/2" wide x 1-1/2" tall and weighs 9.5 grams. The horseshoe nails are raised and the horse head is done with excellent detail. Although the pin is semi-hollow, it a beautiful example of classic English silversmithing. There is a traditional C-clasp and also the "safety chain" which was used before the locking pin mechanism of modern times.
